What the price on the windshield includes, and what it never does
The car, the inspection, the detail and the history report are in it. Sales tax, state licensing and one $200 paperwork fee are not.

Every car on our lot has one number on the windshield. Here is exactly what that number buys, and the three things that get added at signing.
What is in the price
The car, the 150-point inspection, every repair the inspection found, a full detail, a printed history report and 90 days or 3,000 miles of powertrain and electrical warranty. If we replaced tires or brakes, that is in it too.
What gets added
Washington sales tax for where you live, the state’s title and registration fees at cost, and our $200 documentary service fee. That is the whole list, and it is printed on the sticker.
What never gets added
Etching, nitrogen, paint sealant, a market adjustment or a reconditioning fee. If a price sheet anywhere shows one of those, ask what it is for, and ask to have it removed.
